Egypt's capital is Cairo which is located in the North East. Cairo is the second largest city in all of Africa after Lagos. it was founded by Jawhar al-Siqilli in AD 969 along the Nile River.

Egypt is known for their famous Nile river, this river brings many natural resources to locals. Another main physical feature is the Libyan desert that spans 1,100,00km (68,350 miles). The Mediterranean sea and the Red sea border the north and west of Egypt.

The climate of Egypt is for the most part desert. The North west gets more rainfall a year. Due to the extreme heat in the summer locals wear protective clothing to shield themselves from the heat.

Egypt's population is approxemently 82.06 million people ,and is quickly increasing. The average age is around 25. Most of Egypt's population is settled in the northeast and runs down the east, this is because the Nile is the main source of food and water.
